any way of makeing some programs not work? so like the 'startup'
tags are horrible buut

for disableing the obvious bad things like 'VIRUS' or something you dont want running

Well, if you have a malicious startup on your computer, you can simply hold control+s to shut it down, then place a disk drive next to it and insert a disk with a blank startup file. Then the disk startup is run instead of the computer's startup.

you could change the first line of the file so that it errors when run

or you could create a shell which white/black lists files and each time you want to run them it checks them against the list (this wound work for startup)
