I'm trying to get someones code to work, but they have been offline for a year

I'm totally new, and i'm totally clueless
This person uploaded this code for a Fallout style computer a long time ago, and I'm trying to get it working, however I am totally lost.

The issue is whenever I use the code I get 'startup:19: attempt to call nil'
It also says I need a wordfile "called" codes for it to work and and 'advanced monitor'
I don't know what any of this means.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
