new guy looking for some answers to the craftOS1.3

so im helping friend with his server and we got pastebin to work but when i go to run the fakechat and pear os i get "(prgram name):(a number): attempt to call nill" no idea what this means and were can i find programs and movies that work on the craftOS 1.3 on tekkit classic and is it posible to add the advanced computers ?

1.3 is rather old. It is not possible to add advanced computers without updating the mod. The absence of advanced computers most likely also causes the errors.

1.3? why don't you use a more modern version of CC? and as H4X0RZ said it's probably because the version you are using is outdated

As the others have said it's because you have an old version of computercraft, and the programs error because they're probably trying to call functions like term.setTextColor etc. which CC 1.3 doesn't support since it doesn't have advanced computers that support colors.

You could kind of fix the programs from erroring by creating these functions, and by that I mean you just declare them, but they won't do anything. I do not suggest this however because the programs would work very bad, like PearOS for example wouldn't work that great because of the lack of mouse events and colors. The best way would simply be to update the mod to something after 1.5, because I believe it was in that version mouse events, colors etc. was added.

Having looked at the CC changelog, you will have to update a Minecraft version to get colour support in CC.


Is there a particular reason that you are using such an old modpack?
