Pastebin isn't writing to the file

Hello everyone, I have been stumped with a problem in multiplayer where I can't get pastebin to write to the file it creates. HTTP API is enabled because I can communicate with my webserver but for some weird reason pastebin just doesn't want to work despite the fact it gives me no errors. This problem does not occur in single player. I have tried this but it still creates a blank file. I am using computercraft version 1.75 on minecraft 1.7.10. Thank you.

EDIT: Found out that they whitelisted connections to pastebin but they won't tell me why :/ any ideas on why http api could be harmful to a server?

EDIT (again): Found out the staff member I was talking to actually did not know anything about the subject and was making stuff up on the spot. I realised I made the mistake of leaving the program name as pastebin after doing this so when I retried it today it did work with the "updated version" of the pastebin program. Of course this gives me two more questions: 1. Is there any way to permanently fix it for multiplayer without updating to 1.8 and using CC 1.76? 2. Why would it pastebin work in singleplayer but not without the fix in multiplayer?

I'd assume it's an attempt at balance, to discourage players from downloading some of the more powerful pre-made scripts out there. I doubt "security" has anything to do with it, given that you can access other domains.

Not sure it it still works, but you may want to try this: http://www.computercraft.info/forums2/index.php?/topic/21393-cc-autotyper-v301-winfix-http-workaroundgui/

Thanks I will give it a try. For now I just modified the pastebin program to accept files from my servers but it is a still a problem seeing as the reason I want to use pastebin is that I need a program on hundreds of computers.

What do you mean by balanced scripts?

Certain scripts are… troublesome. For example, the self-replicating turtle can make hash of a world in a few hours, left to it's own devices.
