I'm guessing straight off the bat "no".
But would it be possible to make a disk un-editable?
Meaning I write a certain code and the disk basically turns read only, not allowing a user to create edit or store new files in it?

well yes there a way but its kinda tricky i cant give you the code when we have it fool proof

No, there isn't. You would need to change the mod or at least the rom to do that.

we have a way its goes to a bit to much over the hedge and can only work under certain conditions one of them is to it being stop before being edited

^ My guess is you're making it waaaay too complicated to actually work. You might need to think "dumb", and simplify it. If nobody can follow what you're doing, or knows how to use the program, what would you gain from it?

Make a program that scans the floppy. If it finds something that shouldn't be there. it deletes it.

Tell you what, you devise a way to do it that doesn't require editing the ROM, and I'll pop down a computer and a disk drive, put the disk in it, and edit it. You can't prevent it without editing the ROM.

He totally just used my idea, and thought "dumber" than you, and still just had a BRILLIANT IDEA! BTW, that idea was copy written, soooo…I'm gonna have to ask for ten bucks from you, tfoote…

Encrypt it, possibly in a way that makes it simply unreadable by the computer without the decryption software.
If nothing else it would keep PEOPLE from WANTING to edit it, or at least give you a way to know if it has been edited.
