I'm trying to create an ICBM program…a turtle basically, that will run to wherever I tell it to, place a nuclear reactor, then somehow fill the nuclear reactor up with some uranium cells, then gtfo. I can get it to place the nuclear reactor fine, but it won't place pipes. When I tell it to place a pneumatic tube, it comes back true, but doesn't actually place it in the world. Is there some way, I can get a turtle to put uranium inside the reactor, without placing an obsidian pipe, or some other method that requires manual work? I want it to be completely automated.

Don't think this is possible in this version of CC, next version (1.4) it will. The only thing i could think of which may work in this version is placing other blocks which does the placing and pick up job for you

Wait until 1.4, or place a transposer downward, then use a redstone signal to pull stuff out of the turtle and place it in the reactor. Then pick up the transposer and return. No pipes needed, and if I remember correctly, it should auto-tile upward.
