If i have a chest full of diamonds, how will i be able to check how many diamonds are in the chest?

Im using tekkit, Are you sure there is no other way? like item detectors?

Yeah, thats why i said easy answer.
You could take the items out of a chest with a filter, Through pipes, one of them beeing redstone pipe, and the you could count the redstone ticks i guess. Just have to time it right with the filter. This would take alot of time though. There is probably some other way too. But i would suggest waiting for the new version of CC.
