Are you able to use french accents in programs, or will it come up with "unexpected symbol"?

most likely won't read, you can try it but I doubt it will work. what would you want them for?

It may work (I'm an American so I've never tried such a thing) since it's in print. I know it will print asterisks and such, which usually come up weird since they are used to multiply, but it will print them just fine. I suppose there's no harm in trying accents though.

The only cahracter I have had problems with trying to print, is the tilde (`). Other than that, I haven't tried any other special characters, although I'm pretty sure that any unsupported characters are printed as a question mark (?). If there are any latin-based characters in french(I have no idea), then you may want to use those characters instead of the native characters.

At least two of those would not print, unfortunately… Not sure what you said, but the translation would be lost with the symbols.
