[Question] Adjust modem distances

According to this thread, modems work over 64 metres, except 17 during thunderstorms. I've seen some comments about changing the transmission distance limit, but I can't find any relevant option in my configuration files. Does this option exist and, if so, where is it? Is it also possible to change the thunderstorm distance limit? Considering the infinite threads issue that's floating around, I'd rather not have to quadruple my computers (from one every 64 metres to one every 17) just to put in repeaters.

It does not exist in the config file just yet. It should be added in 1.31 hopefully. Your other option is to hex edit the code and increase them to whatever you like :mellow:/>/>

This is not currently possible without modifying the jar.
1.31 is set to have this as a config option, and in addition (hopefully) fixing the silly LuaJ thread bullshit that's going around.
