Is it possible to play custom music from a floppy disk? Or does it only work with records?

If you mean that you want to play a custom song from a file or something, then that wont work.
You can only use records and noteblocks to play music via your in-game computer.

You can create a program that plays music using noteblocks, and save it to a disk.
