Issue with Turtle mining program

Hey fellas,

Computercraft novice here.
I'm having a hell of a time getting the following Stairs script to actually do anything, which seems odd:

I'm grabbing the script from pastebin and even plugging in the variables the coder provides as
an example, but with zero luck. The turtle just sits there, stuck on 'Digging stairs…'

Occasionally, other combinations will start the digging process, but after a minute, the turtle freezes up again.

Is this a problem on my end, or is the oldish code to blame? Or would anyone know of another turtle program that digs a spiral staircase?

You probably should contact the author about the issues with their program.

Off the top of my head, either using arguments that don't work well with the program, or your turtle needs fuel. Since it does at times work I'm assuming its not fuel and it appears to work for other users I'm going to assume it is the arguments that your are using.
