Hi. I run a private server and want to increase the distance rednet can send/recieve in the configs but people said that it increases lag.

If you increase the rednet distance in a server configs, does it increase lag on your server?

It will increase server CPU load if rednet.broadcast() is being used, as more computers will be in range of each message sent, meaning that more computers will have to be resumed with a rednet_message event.

Meh. Possibly, but probably not, and if it does lag it will be unnoticable.

Say i set it to something really high, like 20000
will it lag then?

If you have a lot of computers, possibly.
