[Question] How to save programs permanently on a turtle

I wrote some a program for my turtle, and unfortunately, because of my noobness I didn't learn how to save programs on to a turtle or some sort like that and after I would destroy my turtle and pick him up his dir is empty and I can no longer access my program.

Before destroying the turtles, label them by using 'label set name'. This will then make the turtle unique and the programs won't disappear. The programs haven't disappeared, you just placed a new turtle with a new ID.
