help needed makeing [advanced lumber jack]

Hello i need some help with a little project of mine.
im makeing a lumber jack turtle what finds trees and collects wood and returns back the wood to me.
sounds simple but i want the turtle to follow me and im not too sure if there is commands to target a player.

it can't follow you, no. for tree searching, it would be very limited, since the turtle is technically almost blind. So it would have to check through a rectangular/square area and pretty much walk around on every single block to check if a tree is there.
