Problem with gps.locate(timeout,debug)

Hello,
I simply wanted to locate my position inside a program with gps.locate(timeout,debug), but it just won't do it. Whenever i try it says Could not determine position.
The program "gps locate" works just fine.
Here is a screenshot to prove that the GPS network is setup properly:



Any clues?

you have to have a modem active to use gps.locate … I stumbled into this issue ALL the time! always forgot to do it lol

EDIT: Running the program gps opens the modem if one isn't already, using the API doesn't.
